Hi there! I am so glad you’re here.
I’m Helen Citrin, a Certified Holistic Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and Mental Health Therapist (AMFT), based in Del Mar, California. I help people feel good, confident, and more in control of their lives.
I received a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and am a Marriage and Family Therapist. My experience spans working in private practice, nonprofit organizations, and public schools, each of which has given me a unique perspective on how to support individuals from different walks of life.
While those who come to me are at different stages of life, they share a common goal: wanting to feel better in a way that truly fits their lifestyle.
When working with me, you will have access to actionable, personalized plans that are structured around your unique needs. My work is rooted in compassion, vulnerability, and non-judgment. My goal is for you to leave our time together feeling confident, grounded, and clear, and genuinely looking forward to coming back the following week!
My method is rooted in practice and result driven outcomes. While research in this field is always evolving, I support my clients with holistic approaches that focus on the mind–body connection. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I remain open to adapting my approach as new research and understanding emerge.
My foundation in holistic health coaching and personal training was inspired by my mental health work with young people, where I learned how deeply connected mental well-being is to blood sugar regulation, daily movement, nutrition, and nervous system health.
This work isn’t about restriction, it’s about balance, awareness, and understanding what helps you feel your best day to day.
I work with individuals who are striving to:
• Lose weight
• Sleep better
• Gain energy
• Build confidence
• Love themselves more deeply
I believe you can’t truly heal one part of yourself without tending to the others, which is why I weave together movement, nutrition, and mental health into one integrated approach. I truly focus on the mind–body connection.
I also know that diving into this work can feel overwhelming or even scary because I’ve lived it myself. That’s why my role is to support you gently as you navigate your own journey. I promise I won’t take you anywhere I haven’t gone myself. This process is deeply personal, and if you choose to trust me with it, I will walk alongside you every step of the way.
